The litter
What is Furrly made of?+
Four simple plant-based ingredients: soybean fiber, pea powder, guar gum, and water. No clay, no silica, no synthetic fragrance, and no harsh chemicals.
How is it different from clay litter?+
Clay is strip-mined, heavy, and dusty. Furrly is made from upcycled soybean fiber — the same plant protein behind tofu — so it’s lightweight, ultra‑low dust, fast‑clumping, and soft on paws. A 9 lb bag lasts about a month for one cat.
What does it look and feel like?+
Soft, uniform pellets that are gentle on paws and easy to scoop — no sharp granules and no powdery cloud when you pour.
How long does one bag last?+
About one month per cat. We sell by the number of cats you have, so your supply always matches your home (1 bag = 1 cat = ~1 month).
Will my cat actually use it?+
Most cats switch with no fuss. If yours is picky, transition gradually (see below) — and if they still snub it, our 30‑night guarantee has you covered.
How do I transition from our current litter?+
Mix about 25% Furrly into the old litter, then increase the ratio over 7–10 days until it’s all Furrly. Most cats adjust within a few days.
Is it good for multiple cats, kittens, or seniors?+
Yes — it’s gentle for seniors and clumps well enough for busy multi‑cat boxes. For kittens under 8 weeks, check with your vet first, since they tend to explore with their mouths.
Odor, dust & tracking
Does it really control odor?+
Yes. The plant fibers naturally absorb and lock in moisture and ammonia smell — no perfume needed. Scoop daily for the best results.
Is it really dust-free?+
It’s 99% dust‑free — a world apart from clay. Great for cats and humans with sensitive lungs.
Does it track around the house?+
Tracking is very low thanks to the larger pellet size. A mat under the box keeps it close to zero.
Flushing & disposal
Can I flush it?+
Yes — clumps are flushable in small amounts. Flush one or two at a time, and avoid flushing if you have a septic system or older plumbing.
Is it biodegradable?+
Yes. It’s made from natural plant fibers that break down — unlike clay, which sits in landfills.
How do I dispose of it if I don’t flush?+
Scoop clumps into the trash, or compost them if your local rules allow. Either way it breaks down far faster than clay.

Ingredients & safety
Is it safe if my cat nibbles a little?+
The ingredients are natural and non‑toxic, but it isn’t food — discourage eating it, and check with your vet if your cat ingests a large amount.
Is it fragrance-free?+
Yes — no synthetic fragrance or deodorizers. Odor control comes from the plant fibers themselves.
Is it good for allergy- or asthma-prone homes?+
The ultra‑low dust and zero added fragrance make it a great choice for sensitive households — and there’s no silica dust like clay litters.
Is it vegan and cruelty-free?+
Yes — 100% plant‑based and never tested on animals.
Using Furrly
How much should I put in the box?+
Fill to about 2–3 inches deep. The pellets expand as they absorb, so you need less than you would with clay.
How often should I scoop and change it?+
Scoop clumps daily and top up as needed. With daily scooping, a full change every 3–4 weeks keeps things fresh.
Can I mix it with my current litter?+
Yes — many people mix during the transition. For the best odor control and clumping, switch fully to Furrly.
Does it work in automatic or sifting litter boxes?+
It works in most sifting boxes. For automatic boxes, check your box’s guidance — clumping plant litters are compatible with many but not all.
How should I store it?+
Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry spot. Avoid damp areas, since the fibers absorb moisture.
